If you guys didn't already know there was a Comiccon at Montreal the 11-12 September 2010 and it is oing to be back, although a bit smaller, this 5th December :D same place (Place Bonaventure). It is time to unleashed your inner geek and go there!
Why?
- You get a good feeling of what is a geek
- Comic books are cheaper there
- To be honest it feels like boxing day for geeks. WHO DOESN'T LIKE BOXING DAY. (don't answer)

Ok This is my first time doing a post like this. So here I go!
I was surfing on youtube and I came across this HDstarcraft video showing the New custom mode game from blizzard for STARCRAFT 2. So basically it's Mario party! on Starcraft!
So you get to choose between different levels lot's of fun just going to put the video right away!

Perfect geek recipe
Ingredients:
- Star Wars : Attack of The Clones
- Star Craft 2
- Genetic Enhancement
- Civil Conflict
- Graphic Novel
1) Mix all of those ingredients, until it gets thick
2) Preheat your oven at 400˚F
3) Apply the mixture on the cooking plate
4) Insert in the oven for 30 minutes
5) Leave in the oven for 2 minutes
6) Take it out. WATCH OUT IT'S HOT.
Enjoy.
Sorry for this, LOL, even with these steps I would still mess up the recipe. If done correctly, you should get something that looks like this BY FAR. The coolest graphic novel I read so far. It's titled "Shrapnel".
If you do [find something cooler] PLEASE. OH PLEASE. tell me! but yeah. Brief summary, The story is on Venus, where freedom and Democracy reign. In the solar system though, there's a conflict between the splicers (the genetics enhanced who are faster, stronger, better, something) and the helot (you can consider them Untouchables who are not [enhanced]). Although some conflict happen a bit on Venus they are more the friendly type. But when the Alliance comes to submit the population on Venus, both class will have to stand up against the hardcore trained, killer marines. Anyway story short. The girl (above) will stand up as a "Joanne D'Arc" and, well, pwn some ass.

So Assassination IS a form of art...
Hey guys! It's me I know it's already three updates back to back but I just can't stop I have so much to tell you! So today I went to something really AWESOME!
Assassin's Creed's Exhibition at Montreal
So this takes place at Yves Laroche Gallery on 6355 St-Laurent (thanks Sammy for the address :P) (and thank you Kevin for joining me :D ). It is not too late to get some goodies as it finish the 27th of November. So those of you who really enjoy jumping from a roof and stab someone with the hidden knife, well this is the more artistic side of the Assassin's Creed game. So the illustrators, who are simply BRILLIANT, are generous enough to share a bit of their talent. I was amazed by it. Even though the "paintings" were printed , the brush stroke you see are real. They simply did it on computers. Crazy people if you ask me. Crazy talented. Ok less talking because well images are better than words.
I think my mouth was wide open during all the time spent in the gallery I shall ask Kevin. And it is not done yet.
I think I will create a Album on photobucket i will post the link. So if you guys can't make it, you can at least catch a bit of rainbow.

Someone gave you evidence of the person responsible of an event that destroyed your life, a gun and 100 bullets that are untraceable putting you above the law?
That is the main plot to the I must say GENIUS story behind 100 bullets. Indeed, in that graphic novels a man in suit meets with people with nothing to lose, and give them an opportunity to put things straight. A bit like criminal, each tome has 1 or more character faced with that situation. But unlike the previous named, they actually will work together (so I was told) in next issues. Anyway, this graphic novel is worth your attention, I'm telling you.
Review:
Art : 7.5/10 Not really a fan of it, it doesn't seem clean enough. The story was written a while ago I sure do hope that the author manage to gain more experience and went towards more my style.
Story: 10/10. If you can get passed the gangster language (like an OG like me) in this first tome you will discover all the deepness of the plot and it's complication. Like I said above I definitely recommend this one if you like action graphic novels. MORE THAN CRIMINAL. :D
Price: 8/10. 10.99$, Pretty cheap I mean it's average. I can't really say anything more... lol

"Did you seriously just say AWESOME?"
A Criminal - Lawless
HERE IT IS! told you "Coward" was good. So I just read the second one and damn... It was good.
So the sequel is about another guy. Coming out of the prison, learned that his brother is killed and he is out for revenge. It kind of reminds me of Speed (you know the movie with The Rock which is coming out soon) So like I said previously this tome doesn't relate with the first one although we can see the events took place since we see some characters again (not gonna spoil this for you guys :P) I don't know why but I realize there's a colour related for each tome like lawless is kind of blue, (it is winter and most action is during the night) and Coward is more redish, pink. Anyway though it was an interesting fact.

8.5/10, Same good art. I don't know if it is me who adapted myself to the art or if the author got better but I preferred it in this second tome :) I don't know, it fits the mood.
Story:
9.5/10, Although the story of the movie Speed looks awful, this one blew my mind... couldn't put it down so I end up finishing it under 2 hours... D: I want MOAR! I also like how they go back and forth with flash backs and then the action catch up with the present. I know I'm not making any sense but you got to check it out . There's also plenty of action in it.
Price:
7.5/10, 14.99$ a bit more expensive than the first one but I think it is justified, and worth it. I feel there is more content in that tome :)
So anyway that's it... not sure what to write anymore... I guess I should stop writing but I just CAN'T D:

Omg, just finished watching the latest episode of Dexter and O.M.G I wanna see what's NEXT! Can't wait so much suspense! D:
I can barely contain myself, I know this doesn't belong to this blog but I just REALLY want to share this with you guys. If you don't know what dexter is... Go to your nearest video club rent ALL of the season, because trust me you will need them.
They are so addictive FULL of suspense. It is a bit gory (SOMETIMES, but really not), they are some nude parts but it is really worth watching.
I don't know, just wanted to share.
Stick around because I will soon updated this blog with loads of new stuffs! (SOON, like really soon)

Think of the cutest thing you've EVER seen, in a Calvin & Hobbs drawing style. Now picture it being the most EVIL creature living on this Earth. Pretty grotesque isn't it? But that what makes the charm of Ubu Bubu. It's the adventure of the Harbringer, the one true daemon of Hell! that need a host to walk among us. It appears this host is one cute cat. From the random "CHEESE DIPS!" saying, to the vomiting and shitting of other daemons, Ubu Bubu covers it all in such non-sense that it is AWESOME and funny :P

10/10, Totally one of my favourite. I like the innocence of the drawings and the rawness of the content it is so ironic! Anyway it really pops out of the page :). Mix Cute/Evil = Legend-...wait for it -DARY!
Story:
8.5/10 Although the story doesn't make sense (yes it has a plot, but it really doesn't follow any linear story) the humour in the comic makes up for it like the praise said it, it fulfils te true objective of a graphic novels : Entertaining.
Price:
12.95$ Really I'm really glad I own this piece. I would pay up to 20$ for it just as a piece for my collection :) A-MUST if you like the genre.

I was so ashamed because those pictures were taken from my blackberry (The quality of the images shows). Unfortunately, you can't turn off the sound of the camera on those. So there I was alone shopping in a changing room doing *click* *click* (Did I mention there were three salers talking next to my changing room?) I was cringing every time! HAHAHA anyway, all this for you guys (I do mean guys I didn't see some for the the women section, in fact there are no women section at Jack&Jones, silly me) So there you go, the only model available was my skinny body so I apologize.
Those pieces sells for 35$ each! Which one do you guys prefer? Personally I would go for the purple!

Ok, I have to say that I was alone! so I had nobody to back me up, (Reminder : Shop with someone else so THEY can take pictures) I'll try to redeem myself next time :P
I was so ashamed because those pictures were taken from my blackberry (The quality of the images shows). Unfortunately, you can't turn off the sound of the camera on those. So there I was alone shopping in a changing room doing *click* *click* (Did I mention there were three salers talking next to my changing room?) I was cringing every time! HAHAHA anyway, all this for you guys (I do mean guys I didn't see some for the the women section, in fact there are no women section at Jack&Jones, silly me) So there you go, the only model available was my skinny body so I apologize.
Those pieces sells for 35$ each! Which one do you guys prefer? Personally I would go for the purple!
AND because I happen to stumble across something AWESOME!Nice eh? I was wondering if I should get those... :T

A Criminal - Coward
I bought this comic at the comic book store "Captain Quebec". Suggestion from... I don't actually know his name... Should've asked he helped me a lot on finding this little piece of art.
Keep it real, yo! This comic book is more based on POSSIBLE event. I'm not saying the previous post wasn't but yeah if you like police and action intrigue, this is definitely for you.
The story is about this guy, a genius thief, who is able to escape from any situation since he is so smart and thinks of all the possible way. The fact that he "doesn't walk way from troubles, he run aways from it" gives him the adjective of "coward" hence the title. Anyway, Seymour contacts him for a easy picking job involving 5 millions worth of diamonds, corrupted cops and an ex (I don't know what) anyway you probably see the plot coming.
Art:
8/10, I really like the art as it is dark and sketchy which carries the story pretty well. Although nothing really jumps OUT of the page it is fairly easy to read with that drawing

9/10, I really got carried away by the story. It is really like a novel :) I like it a lot the plot is interesting! a few climax here and there, loveable character! No wondering it won awards (Eisner award winner for best writer and best new series)
Price:
8/10, Reading it was fairly long for 17.50$ it was worth it, but I saw other comic book place selling for less and like I always said online is WAY cheaper. As you can see it starts from 10.19$ on Amazon.
That's only the first novel though there is more. Every novel introduce a new character but kind of in the same setting so you see characters that you know. Some of the main character even has more than one [book]!

Comic I bought at 1,000,000 Comix (Montreal)
I got to tell you I was pleasantly surprise, as it was my first purchase there, when I paid.
I go "So how much is it for it?"
He goes "1 dollar"
I go "What? 1 dollar?"
hahaha nice! anyway back to the subject
If you were looking for a comic with lesbian zombie, a WereDog?, and a lesbian ghost. I think I found your prefect comic.
So basically the story opens on Gwen, did I say lesbian zombie?, as it seems a regular girl digging hole for coffins, for a job. After her day, she meets up with her girlfriend which is dead 40 years ago to go on a date with her hairy friend... ok I have to admit the first issue doesn't have action. The end though introduce the real purpose of the comic. It seems that there are Hunters that kill paranormal stuff (AKA Gwen and her friends) and that she also have to eat a brain every month (if she doesn't she becomes a mindless zombie...who wants that?!) and by eating the brain of the *SPOILER* [ok not really a spoiler but still] person she dug a grave for, she is able to see into their memories. The first issues ends up on her eating the brain on someone who has been murdered. So she basically will avenge him or something.
Anyway here goes my rating :
Art : 7.5/10
Not really my type of art, but it is pretty easy to adapt to it. I find that it reach easily the old fashion comics fan and the more "contemporain" art that we see with the comics of today.
Story: 8/10
Story has a lot of potential and I feel it is going into a more exciting turn. I'll give it a chance since it was the first issue. Introduction of the characters are a bit "chunky" I feel it is rushed though

Equip Accessories
I was looking for some nice Comics clothing line because I feel they would show my passion as complementing my style and well some of the store I shop to recently came out with some :) Actually it's what really triggered it [my passion]. For example, FCUK usually comes out with really nice Tee but most of the times it's when the movies comes out so prepare for some MASSIVE shopping (see post below). Zara also came out with some nice clothes A.K.A my Wonder-Woman Shirt :) I saw another nice wonder woman shirt but for girl at H&M, anyway just to say. It's the sh*t. So I was walking through down-town (Montreal) found some (found Simons and Jack&Jones, though the latest doesn't really have nice one). I continued my search online and I found this website and I have to say : Wow. They are really nice. I might buy a few anyway I'm going to let you guys on it. they have some for boys AND girls. I AM... IRON MAN! [3]
YEAH! we knew this day would come. Iron man 3 (The movie). It's release date is "supposedly" May 3rd 2013 According to Marvel Studio. It seems it'll come out after Avengers (Also the movie). Don't know about the detail yet, but with all the super heroes movie coming out : Iron Man 3, Thor, Captain America, Batman : Dark Knight Rises, Green Lanthern and The Avengers, it is hard to keep up!
It seems the comic books are becoming a source of inspiration in the movie department, which is a good thing! More people will appreciate this passion of ours!

To those of you looking down on geeky people...In yo' face! Who said comic books was a waste of time and didn't bring anything :) Someone just got 1825$ (No I am not missing a dot) for the first issue of The Walking Dead. Recently having a lot of success due to its series and mainly its graphic novels, someone manage to get a lot of dough from it. So people hang on to your comics books as it may grow value unexpectedly. The higher it is marked on CGC the more it's worth.
Which brings me to the other discovery I made :
Well actually it is The Walking Dead, I was roaming through my comic books store like usual and, well, this jumped out to me. I also want to see what the hype is about. I know most of the people already know but hey better late than never!

Research Complete
I know this blog is about video games and comic books but I just couldn't let this pass by. If you are into technology as me. You will be interested. If you have always wanted an Iphone but the fact that you had a Itouch already kept you from its awesomeness. Depress no more! There is a Ipod touch cover able to convert your ordinary Itouch to an Iphone! yes! You do have to jailbreak it (which is easy : Google) and need a sim card (for the phone to work). It's AMAZING :) I'm trying to get my hand on one of those It's called an Apple peel. :) check it on ebay Yoshion Apple Peel 520 :)

Sorry if I didn't post anything lately but I've been playing Black Ops all day on my PS3 ( You can add me if you want PSN : GargoyleB3) I'm already lvl 25, I know I am a no-life. But I've pretty much know a lot about the multiplayer so you can ask me question if you want.
As a little gift I have heard of little promotion for black ops for those of you who still didn't get it. 45$ for COD : BO. The only problem is that You will have no CD. And it is for PC only…Sorry mates. SO yeah. It is 8Gig though. But food for thought

New Challenger!
Alright, I initially created this blog for this main goal :

First off :

It is not NEW but it is certainly not known enough here in America. I discovered it when the author Barbara Canepa came to Montreal for the Comiccon. At first I wasn't sure what the buzz was around that author until I looked it up on wikipedia. Trust me, I fell in love with it. Now I own almost all the issues. My bedroom has many posters of it. I even stood 2 hours just for a freakin' dedicace. Anyway, it will blow your mind.
Summary:
In a world, where the population use doll as prostitute or sexual entertainment, one of these doll is unique . First it looks like a runaway story but then it turns into something much more interesting. It also oppose two idea : The virgin and the bloody. Anyway I feel that I make a terrible summary :P so I'll just copy-pasta some here.
"The action is set in a fictitious parallel universe, in which the papacies of Agape (representing spiritual love) and Lodovica (Ludovica, or Ludowika, depending on the language, and representing sexual love) fall into a conflict, resulting in the banishment of Agape and the creation of a dystopia in which both spiritual and sexual freedoms have been perverted. With Agape's followers labeled as heretics, Lodovica rules the galaxy through extensive control of the mass media, using "miracles" to impress the fanatical populace. The main character is Noa, a so-called Sky Doll: a life-like android without rights, resembling a young female, who exists only to serve the state's desires. Noa meets two "missionaries", and with their help escapes from its tyrannical master. Unknown to Lodovica, it accompanies the thoughtful, naive Roy and distrustful Jahu on their interstellar mission to uproot the growing "heretic" religion on the planet Aqua, which soon develops into something much more. Anyway it is worth to take a look at it. MAJOR HIT in Europe. Although you might get weird looks from your mom if you are a bit young. You will see why :P.

I recently found that one while I was roaming in some comic-book store, I think it started in 2008. Anyway, Horror + Humour = every guy entertainment RIGHT? I can't really say anything but I already bought my collection so I might give you guys a bit detail then. I don't want to spoil myself so I WON'T copy paste the summary :P but there is this video that shows a little sneak peek and really puts you into the mood.
EDIT:
Read the first omnibus (Collection of Hack/slash) and it is AWESOME! Funny, kinky, and scary at the same time! I can't wait to read the second one!
Basically it is the story of a girl hunting psychopathic killers with a huge scary [but kind of retarded] companion.
Honestly Amazon is the cheapest I could found (cheaper than Comic book store) best place

Character Customization
Alright I'm just going to describe myself a bit so I can put that aside right away. I live in Canada, Quebec so you might see a bit of french in my post and for that I apologize. I have a perfect girlfriend that loves me enough to accept letting me play Call of Duty once in a while, I know you can relate. And I own a PS3 and a Mac so I'll definitely concentrate on those but I'll do some effort to bring out some goods on the other stuff as well :).
For the graphic novel part, I don't know how describe myself... I like Marvel a lot and I have yet to discover The DC universe although I have a Wonder-Woman T-shirt! :D But for you guys I will! I'm in my early 20s so yeah some content might shock some younger audience although I'm pretty sure that the sexualization of our society makes the at least 12 years old, already sex-educated.
